Having passion for one’s profession and the requirements of that profession overcomes mediocrity, disenchantment, frustration, and compromise. In dentistry, passion can make the difference between providing high quality care and that which is merely adequate. Passion is also responsible for providing the impetus for clinicians to seek higher learning and continue in their education. As the pace quickens in the development of knowledge and technology, patients around the world deserve to have opportunities for their dentist to access the best that the profession has to offer.
